How to Maintain
Your Heymat
To ensure that your Heymat stays beautiful and functional for a long time, regular maintenance is essential. See our cleaning and maintenance routines for our different qualities here:
Heymat Original
• Daily vacuuming is recommended for effective removal of dust and dirt.
• Wash the mat in the machine at 60 degrees Celsius with regular detergent without bleach.
• Dry the mats in the dryer or flat, preferably on a warm floor.
• Mats up to and including size 85×150 should be fine to wash in a regular washing machi-ne at home, but it is important to check the capacity of your machine before washing.
• If the mat is too large for the washing machine, it can alternatively be rinsed, treated with carpet cleaner, or taken to a laundry service.
• To extend the lifespan of the mat, we recommend regular machine washing, preferably 2-4 times per year.
• A Heymat can withstand high temperatures, and if the mat is not clean after machine washing at 60 degrees Celsius, you can also try washing it at a higher temperature.
Heymat +
• Daily vacuuming is recommended. If necessary, the mat can be rinsed with water.
• Spot cleaning with mild detergent is possible if needed.
Heymat Compact
• Daily vacuuming is recommended.
• Wash the mat in the machine at 40 degrees Celsius with regular detergent without bleach.
• Dry the mats in the dryer or flat, preferably on a warm floor.
Wildlife
• Shake or vacuum the mat regularly. Use a carpet cleaner or wash the mat if necessary.
• When washing in the machine: Use a gentle detergent, wash at 30°C, and spin the mat at a low speed. We recommend drying the mat flat.
